ABG IP ESTABLISHES ITS POSITION AMONG EUROPE’S TOP 10 PATENT LAW FIRMS, ACCORDING TO THE FINANCIAL TIMES

23 de June de 2021

The prestigious British newspaper Financial Times selected ABG Intellectual Property as one of Europe’s top ten patent law firms for the second year in a row. In the 2021 edition of the “Europe’s Leading Patent Law Firms” study, ABG IP also moves up two positions from last year and is now seventh in the rankings.

To compile the list, Financial Times teams up with the German company Statista to conduct extensive research. The methodology is based on recommendations by clients and patent agents who can both nominate firms in general and specifically recommend different firms for each of the study’s six areas of expertise. Those innovative sectors are chemistry and pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and food, materials and nanotechnology, IT and software, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. ABG IP has been recognised in all of them and it received gold and silver ratings.

ABG IP’s ranking among Europe’s top ten patent law firms and the fact that it is acknowledged in all areas of expertise mean that not only the firm as a whole, but also its teams that work to protect innovation in different areas of the industry are recognised.

The firm, founded in 2003, has a professional staff of 17 doctors, 15 European patent agents, three former European Patent Office examiners, one former European Union Intellectual Property Office examiner, and six Spanish industrial property agents.

The 2021 edition that was recently published online is available here and it can be purchased from newsstands on Thursday 24 June.
